The Library of Congress has added a collection of its photos to picture-hosting site Flickr. The collection currently includes over 3,000 images, categorized as “1930s-1940s in Color” and “News in the 1910s“. Visitors are encouraged to tag images or leave comments that will help categorize the pictures. According to ReadWriteWeb, the permanence of the collection will be determined by the amount of traffic, so pay a visit. Then maybe the LOC will see fit to add more of their vast treasure of fantastic historical images.
